Last reviewed: 28 September 2026

A letter, call or visit from the Ministry of Manpower can be unsettling for any employer. This interactive checklist sets out the practical steps employers commonly need to think about, tailored to what you have received.

Prepared by Johnathan Lee, Advocate & Solicitor, formerly a Senior Prosecuting Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.

What the checklist covers

  • First steps when you receive a letter, notice or request.
  • Handling requests for documents and records.
  • Interviews and statements.
  • Your employees during an investigation.
  • Steps after a workplace accident.
  • Records commonly reviewed.

You can tick items off as you go and print or save the checklist as a PDF. Your selections stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
