Lost a loved one? We'll handle the legal side so you can grieve in peace.
Probate and estate administration in Singapore, handled with the sensitivity of someone who spent some time in the funeral profession and the precision of a practising lawyer.
Johnathan Lee
Advocate & Solicitor and former Ministry of Manpower prosecutor. I also spent some time assisting in my family's funeral business, walking alongside families through loss. That means I understand what probate really is: a process happening at the worst possible time.
My job is to take that process off your shoulders. Clear explanations, fixed fees, and house-call appointments when you need them. No jargon. No surprises.
A probate lawyer who truly understands loss
"Most lawyers handle probate as paperwork. I've stood beside families at funerals — I know this is about people, not just process."
After serving as a Ministry of Manpower prosecutor, Johnathan spent some time assisting in his family's funeral business. He saw families torn apart, not by grief, but by the chaos of unplanned estates. Missing wills. Disputed assets. Siblings who stopped speaking.
That experience shapes how we handle every probate matter. We don't just file documents. We guide families through one of the most difficult administrative processes they'll ever face, with patience and clarity.
Whether it's a straightforward Grant of Probate or a complex Letters of Administration with multiple beneficiaries and overseas assets, we take the burden off your shoulders entirely.

Probate FAQs
What is probate?
Probate is the legal process of validating a will and authorising the executor to distribute the deceased's estate. If there is no will, the process is called obtaining Letters of Administration.
How long does probate take in Singapore?
A straightforward probate matter typically takes 3 to 6 months. Complex estates with overseas assets, disputes, or missing documents may take longer.
What if there is no will?
The estate will be distributed according to the Intestate Succession Act. We apply for Letters of Administration and guide the next-of-kin through the statutory distribution framework.
Do I need a lawyer for probate?
While not strictly required for all steps, having a lawyer ensures proper handling of court filings, tax clearances, and asset transfers — and prevents costly mistakes that delay distribution.
What assets are covered by probate?
Probate covers assets held in the deceased's sole name — bank accounts, property, shares, and vehicles. Insurance policies with nominated beneficiaries are typically excluded from the estate.
What are your fees?
We offer fixed-fee arrangements based on estate complexity. Contact us for a free assessment and transparent quote with no hidden charges.
